Private Tracker?

Ok, so your looking to join a private tracker? Well a Private Tracker is a wonderful thing to find and an even better thing to become a part of. Though joining a private tracker can be a lot harder than you might think.

A Private Tracker is  just like Public Trackers except that they are private, allowing only certain people and only a certain number of people. A Private tracker will provide the highest quality downloads as well as the best comments on torrents. In the following article we will discuss a few private tracker s as well as how a ratio works, this may help you join one and once joining, keep your membership.

There are a few dozen really decent private trackers out there with a few being Elite or cream of the crop as far as bittorrent sites go. Most of these are clouded in mystery and only open applications up once or twice a year, some require you to know a lot about using torrents, some will take noobs. But, almost all will require you to keep what they call a Ratio in order to keep your account.

A Private Tracker Ratio is basically a ratio derived from your Upload to Download numbers. Let’s say for instance that you download 1gb of data to a private tracker, well now you have a 0/1 ratio this will get you banned in no time – Do Not Leech! Remember private tracker torrents are all about sharing! I suggest that if you join a private tracker, either through open sign up or through an invitation that the first thing you do is download a file of reasonable size – say 500megs. Then leave it up and seeding on your side for a few days.. at least two, before you download anything else. A Private Tracker will be keeping track of how much you take and how much you share. Always try to keep a download ratio of 2, this means for every unit of measure you download you have TWICE that amount uploaded. Say you do decide to download a file of 500megs, now you must not download anything else untill that file has UPLOADED or SEEDED 1gb or 1000 megs. This will ensure that you have adequite ratio to make another download.

Someone who takes and does not give is considered a leech by the torrent community and usually banned from trackers as soon as they show their ways. So Keep in mind, Always SHARE MORE than you TAKE and you will be fine. DO NOT Be in a rush to grab everything you want, space it out over time and ALWAYS SEED!!

Alright, now on to a few well known private trackers, you may never get into one of these as most require an invite from an established member. I will try my best to go into a little detail about some of theese, thou I am not a member of all of them I am a member of a few.

BitShock – A More elusive tracker, open only to folks with an invite code. AT the time of this posting they are INVITE ONLY.

TorrentLeech – One of my Favorites, very hard to get into but Oh so worth it! Speeds as high as 3mb transfer and all the newest scene drops. At the time of this posting this tracker is INVITE ONLY.

The Box.bz – This one is a UK Tracker that specializes in UK, TV and Movies. They open up invites once or twice a year and are currently close for applications, INVITE ONLY. Thou I have a few invites and I might be persuaded to give a few out if asked nicely.

Demonoid – One of the more famous trackers out there, Demonoid is a great place to start in the private tracker world. They are currently INVITE ONLY, again I may have a few of these if the right people ask.

Keeping in mind that if you are lucky enough to get an invite to one of these terrific spots you MUST Keep a good UL/DL Ratio! ALWAYS READ the info on the site. They will explain how to keep your account in good standing, failure to comply will get you and your IP Banned Permanently.
